Boyne City Restaurant Guide

If you’re anything like me when planning where to vacation, you check out the food scene before you book your Airbnb. Boyne City may be a small town, but there is great food to be found on every corner! This is a list of 10 restaurants in or around Boyne City that you will want to check out while you are in town.

Included below is the restaurant’s name, website, if they include a kid’s menu, and their Instagram / Facebook links, if they have one. Because let’s be honest- that’s where we all go to check out the food pics!

Red Mesa

Red Mesa is a Latin American style restaurant.  Located on Water Street, Red Mesa is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of downtown Boyne City. You’re in luck, they are open for lunch and dinner. If you visit when the weather is nice, you will have the option for outdoor dining along the sidewalk. Or better yet, on the back deck that overlooks the Boyne River.

When you visit for dinner, start your meal with guacamole, queso fundido and a cold, salted rimmed margarita on the rocks! Their margarita menu is extensive - featuring over 15 different varieties! A great classic margarita option is the Casa Margarita. But if you’re feeling like you want to be adventurous, try the Coconut Margarita or the Mango Peach Margarita.

Their large menu features tacos! And of course, soups, salads, burritos, fajitas, and enchiladas. The entire menu is incredible- whatever you order will not disappoint.

A local favorite is the Caribbean chicken quesadilla- a cilantro lemon tortilla stuffed with smoked gouda, grilled chicken and roasted pineapple salsa that is served with garlic serrano aioli.

When dinner is over, don’t forget to save room for their habanero fried ice cream!

Lake Street Market is a local favorite that stays very busy, especially during the summer months. If you know that you want to order from them for lunch or dinner, you’ll want to make sure that you place your order in plenty of time.
